Job Description:

Pulse has partnered with a UK-based specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to support the clinical leadership of the service. This part-time role offers flexibility of 2 or 3 days per week in Gloucestershire.

About the role:

The therapist will collaborate with colleagues to deliver assessment and intervention plans for students with diverse communication and learning needs, including developmental trauma, autism, ADHD, PDA, ASD, Anxiety, and complex SEMH needs.

Main responsibilities:
  • Promote and embed the Total Communication initiative, supporting students' communication methods
  • Implement high and low tech AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
  • Work flexibly and creatively at universal, targeted, and specialist levels
  • Manage caseload holistically, ensuring EHCP targets are met and fostering relationships with staff and students
  • Conduct assessments and deliver interventions, including observation and liaison with staff and parents/carers
  • Provide weekly direct (1:1), small group, and classroom interventions, including outdoor and craft therapy
  • Support Zones of Regulation across the setting
Candidate requirements:
  • Membership of the Health Professional Council and full certification with RCSLT
  • BA or BSc in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
  • Experience working with autism, learning difficulties/disabilities, and social-emotional behavior
