A leading engineering recruitment firm is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to work remotely across the Midlands. The ideal candidate will have a background in specification sales to Electrical Contractors for Power T&D and Energy Infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include managing customer relationships, coordinating sales activities, and supporting the tendering team. Strong sales and negotiation skills, excellent communication, and willingness to travel are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Experience in specification sales to Electrical Contractors involved in Power T&D and Energy Infrastructure projects.
  • Strong B2B sales experience within an electrical engineering environment.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel regularly.

I have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales Engineer with experience of Specification Sales to Electrical Contractors involved in Power T&D, Renewables and Energy Infrastructure projects

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

This is a full-time remote role covering the Midlands area. Working with new and existing customers who manage Energy and Infrsatructure projects you will be speaking to engineers, projevct managers and procurement teams to identify relevant opportunities and ensure that your equipment is selected. You will be responsible for managing and expanding customer relationships, coordinating sales activities, managing sales quotas, and identifying new business opportunities.

You will also support the tendering team and follow up leads provided by the service engineers and internal sales teams, attend networking events & trade shows as well as carrying out product demonstrations when appropriate

YOUR SKILLS

To succeed in this role you will ideally have experience selling specialist equipment to HV / Electrical Contracting companies with experience of Switchgear, Controls & Automation, Cabling or Electrical equipment sales ideal. You will need strong sales and negotiation skills, experience in B2B sales within an electrical engineering environment and the ability to identify and establish new business opportunities. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential as strong organizational and project management skills. All candidates must have a Full UK Driving Licence and be happy to travel regularly to visit clients.
