A leading healthcare organization in Greater London is seeking a Specialty Doctor for the Breast Unit. The role involves attending outpatient clinics, covering registrars during their leave, and participating in clinical research. The Specialty Doctor will play an integral part of the day-to-day running of the Breast Unit. This post will be based at the Royal Marsden Hospital Chelsea site (5 days) with flexibility to accommodate leave requirements of other team members.
This post provides specialised postgraduate training in medical and multidisciplinary aspects of breast tumour treatment, exposing the Specialty Doctor to a wide range of clinical problems and current clinical research.
Within the Royal Marsden/Institute of Cancer Research there is a strong emphasis on postgraduate teaching. In‑house meetings involve lectures, seminars, formal journal clubs and tutorials in both clinical and laboratory medicine, often in association with the Institute of Cancer Research.
