A healthcare organization seeks a General Community Paediatrician in Wakefield to join a collaborative team focused on community health. The role involves conducting clinics, assessments, and providing administrative support. Applicants must have a Medical Degree, full GMC registration, and relevant experience, including working within Community Paediatrics. The position offers a full-time contract with opportunities for training, hybrid-working options, and strong support for professional development.
This post is offered on a full time 10 PA basis although less than full time applications will be considered. All suitable applications will be considered, including for candidates who have completed their CCT.
Duties will be based primarily on our Pinderfields site although all our medical staff will be involved in delivering care to patients within the Wakefield and Pontefract area.
The post holder would be part of the team of Community Paediatricians who work within the wider Community Paediatric team, comprising the Child Development Nurses, the Looked after Children Team, Therapists and Clinical Psychology, with full Administrative and Secretarial support team.
We would welcome colleagues with a General Community Paediatrician background who may have a subspecialty to complement the existing team. There would be the opportunity for the successful candidate to undertake or develop a specific role or responsibility in line with the candidates experience and requirements of the service.
The Community Paediatric Department within the Trust consists of 5 substantive Consultants and 5 Specialty Associate Specialist (SAS) doctors.
