A community healthcare provider in Lancing is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist. The role involves managing a caseload within mainstream schools, providing therapy, assessments, and advice to support children's communication needs. The ideal candidate will work closely with educational staff and other professionals. This position offers flexible working options and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Come and join our friendly, creative speech and language therapy team in Worthing, on the beautiful West Sussex coastline with easy access to Brighton, London and the South Downs. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a permanent band 6 post working within the Mainstream team, delivering some therapy to children in mainstream schools. This would be a varied role with lots of opportunities supported by our experienced clinical leads. We are committed to CPD and have individual CPD budgets. We have a strong focus on wellbeing with specific team wellbeing events throughout the years. We would consider this role as part time or flexible working. Within the mainstream school team you will be responsible for managing your own caseload within identified schools, providing assessment, therapy, advice and training as required. An ability to develop strong working relationships with education staff is essential and you will also have the opportunity to work closely with our SALTA who provides therapy in school to specific children. To assess, and manage your own caseload of children with speech, language and communication delay and disorder in mainstream schools. To provide advice to other professionals and parents in order to support the needs of children with speech, language and communication delay and disorder in specialist area. To liaise with other agencies and services e.g. schools, social care, and voluntary agencies. To advise and provide clinical support to other therapists.
