Overview

The Royal London and Mile End Hospitals are a world‑renowned specialist tertiary Neurosciences and Major Trauma centre as well as Stroke Centre for the North East London and Essex sector and serve as a base for our Tower Hamlets Community Neuro/Therapy teams.

Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Neuro with Trauma Rotation. This role will give you the opportunity to work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team across Neuro Trauma (Orthopaedics and Plastics, and Neurosurgical/Neurology wards), our Rapid Access to Acute Rehab (RAAR) service, Stroke Services and the Community Neuro Team; rotating within these acute and community services to provide seamless integrated care in line with our WeCare values and behaviours.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for assessing and providing evidence‑based intervention for patients in our different services, including determining in co‑production their optimal rehabilitation/discharge pathway and management plan in line with their functional goals.

To assist and contribute to organising, developing and delivering a high‑quality physiotherapy service provided to a wide variety of in‑patients. These patients will have Neurological, Trauma, Respiratory and/or Amputee impairments.

  • Neuro and Trauma wards
  • Rapid Access to Acute Rehab (RAAR)
  • Stroke services
  • Tower Hamlets Community Neurological Team
  • Hyperacute environment of adult intensive care (expected expansion)
  • Musculoskeletal secondary care follow‑up services (expected expansion)
About you

The ideal candidate will have a passion for physiotherapy, excellent communication skills, plenty of initiative and enthusiasm, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of the wider MDT.
