Job description
Overview

UCLH Department of Haematology seeks Specialist Registrar‑level (ST3+) Senior Clinical Fellows to join February 2026 for a 12‑month post. The role sits within a team of >30 registrars supervised by >50 consultants covering malignant, non‑malignant and experimental haematology.

Responsibilities
  • Attend in‑patients, day‑care and outpatient haematology services on a rotational basis.
  • Participate in the haematology on‑call rota (band 1B) and manage haematological emergencies.
  • Contribute to liaison haematology and sub‑specialty areas such as bone‑marrow transplantation, CAR T‑cell therapy, haemoglobinopathies, clotting, TTP, laboratory haematology and malignant haematology.
  • Support the clinical needs of the service on a day‑to‑day basis with flexibility and preparedness to cover.
Qualifications
  • MRCP or equivalent and full GMC registration with licence to practice.
  • Minimum 4 years postgraduate clinical experience (SHO‑level training in internal medicine) or established haematology registrar.
  • Cover with a medical defence organisation.
Training & Education

The post offers training and education identical to that of haematology SpRs in‑training, with support for relevant courses and discussion with the consultant educational supervisor.

Research Opportunities

As a research‑active department, fellows have opportunities to engage in clinical research and present work at national or international conferences.
