Are you looking for a varied and different experience in your MSK role?

This post will provide you with that, alongside the support of an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist.

The post holder will be a part of the MSK service within First Community Health and Care, based in east Surrey with the primary role being provision of physiotherapy services to HMP Coldingley, Send, Downview and Highdown, which are distributed throughout Surrey.

You will see a huge variety of MSK patients, very different to your usual hospital outpatient setting. Working in the prison will test your ingenuity and communication skills.

This post is an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to advance their management and service development skills whilst maintaining a clinical caseload.

Continued professional and personal development is strongly encouraged and the post holder will be part of an active in-service training programme along with the rest of the MSK team.

Responsibilities

• The post holder will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of offenders presenting with varied conditions and including some very complex cases.
• They will work closely with the other prison physiotherapists and provide supervision and support to the physiotherapy assistant.
• The successful applicant will have experience as a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist in an outpatient setting.
• They will be a team player and experienced in supervising staff.
• They should have evidence of relevant post-graduate training as well as effective communication and problem-solving skills.
