A healthcare trust in Halifax seeks a Specialist Physiotherapist to join a team focused on mental health. The role includes assessing and treating patients in a ward setting, supervising junior staff, and contributing to service development. Candidates must have a degree in Physiotherapy and be registered with HCPC. This is a full-time, permanent position offering flexible working arrangements.
The post holder will join an experienced and well-established team working in mental health across Calderdale and Kirklees. The post is based on our Older People’s Mental Health ward in Calderdale.
We are seeking a candidate with the ability to work independently as a Specialist Physiotherapist with close links to other senior physiotherapists in the service area. You will also form part of the wider MDT which includes OT, Nurses, therapy assistants, Doctors, Psychology, Speech and Language and HCAs. The post holder will also be responsible for supervising a part-time physiotherapy assistant and regular student physiotherapists from the University of Huddersfield.
There is a strong network of allied health professionals across the trust with clear professional leadership and regular supervision within the profession. The Trust offers excellent opportunities for continuing development and training alongside specific In-Service training provided within each area.
