Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in the Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP). The position is based in Chester and Ellesmere Port and involves working with children who have top‑up funding/EHCPs in mainstream school settings across the patch. You will also support early‑years complex needs and clinic services.

Responsibilities
  • Complete standardised assessments and deliver evidence‑based interventions in a variety of settings.
  • Implement evidence‑based practice within the service.
  • Work alongside education colleagues, parents, and MDT members to achieve outcomes.
  • Participate in the training programme to promote a Universal, Targeted and Specialist tiered service.
  • Contribute to the EHCP process, including statutory assessments and annual reviews.
  • Take part in peer review groups to promote CPD.
  • Supervise and support Band 5 Speech and Language Therapists, Therapy Assistants, and students.
  • Co‑manage a defined caseload independently, prioritising tasks with minimal support.
  • Collaborate with agencies and colleagues for comprehensive client management, including report provision for statutory assessments.
  • Attend multi‑disciplinary meetings and provide professional advice as required.
  • Supervise assistants and volunteers and support newly qualified students.
  • Lead placements of Speech and Language Therapy students.
  • Develop and maintain clinical expertise, staying up‑to‑date with advances in practice.
  • Provide training and guidance to others when appropriate.
