Job description
Overview

Are you interested in joining an innovative, high profile and dynamic dietetic team? We are seeking a self-motivated Band 6 Rotational Dietitian. Two posts are available; applicants should start as soon as possible.

You will join the Band 6 Rotational Programme and work within established multidisciplinary teams with inpatients and outpatients across multiple clinical areas including Bariatrics, Intestinal Failure Team, Oncology & Haematology, Paediatrics, Metabolics, Critical Care, Neurology & Neuro Surgery, and Head & Neck Oncology.

Responsibilities
  • Clinically responsible for the nutritional care and management of patients; independently plan, organise and prioritise patient-related and professional demands daily.
  • Work effectively within teams and manage time efficiently.
  • Provide excellent communication and team-working support; act as a source of dietary expertise for colleagues and other health care professionals across the organisation.
  • Work as an integral part of the Dietetic Team to ensure service coverage during periods of leave.
  • Contribute to the Trust Clinical Governance programme by participating in audits and development/implementation of evidence-based guidelines, protocols, policies and continuing professional development.
  • Support student training programmes through supervision where applicable.
Qualifications
  • BSc Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent).
  • HCPC registered.
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic and confident with an interest in developing dietetic skills across a wide range of specialist areas.
  • Ability to work well in teams and manage time effectively; excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Willingness to broaden clinical and non-clinical experience across all pillars of practice.
