Job summary

A leading NHS foundation trust in the UK is seeking a Specialist Dietitian Diabetes to join their team in Preston. This role involves working in diabetes clinics, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and providing training and supervision to Dietetics Assistants. Candidates should possess HPC registration, a relevant degree, and experience working with diabetes patients. The position offers ongoing professional development opportunities and a salary range of £38,682 to £46,580 per annum, pro rata.

Specialist Dietitian Diabetes

We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic Dietitian to join our team to work in the area of Diabetes alongside world class multidisciplinary team colleagues.

You will be based predominantly at the Minerva centre in Preston with our community dietetic team but will also deliver a range of diabetic clinics alongside the highly specialized Diabetes Dietitian at both the Royal Preston Hospital and at the Chorley and South District General Hospital sites.

Although you will be an autonomous practitioner, you will be required to work closely with the diabetes specialist nurse team, the diabetologists, nutrition team and other AHP colleagues.

Our Dietetics team is strongly committed to team working, maintaining high standards of care, innovation and continued professional development. We support student training and provide P1, P2 and P3 placements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled Dietitian to further develop their skills in clinical dietetics.

Main duties of the job

This role provides the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in managing more complex patients with the support of the diabetes MDT team.

You will be involved in the delivery of a wide range of diabetic clinics including Antenatal Diabetic clinics, Type 1 and type 2 complex diabetic clinics as well as domiciliary visits and group education work.
