Overview

An opportunity has arisen at Upton Primary School where we are looking to appoint a Special Needs Assistant to join our team. We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled SNA to work in Key Stage 2. The candidate is required to have experience of working with children who require additional support. The successful candidate will become part of a good school and will strive to help us to continue to raise standards and make a real difference to the future of our children. Upton Primary School is a happy and welcoming setting where inclusion, and adapting the curriculum and provision to meet a child\'s needs are key priorities. The successful candidate will need to be able to deliver a consistent approach to the tasks and routines of the day to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children that they will be working with.

Responsibilities
  • Experience of working with children with additional learning needs / Level 2 qualification essential / Level 3 qualification desirable
  • A good knowledge and understanding of behaviour management and support
  • Initiative, flexibility and the personal skills to work as part of a team
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • High expectations of learning behaviour

Contract and Terms

£25,583 pro rata, Grade 4. 27.5 hours each week - term time only (temporary in the first instance). Part-time position with 27.5 hours weekly.
