A prominent recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Tribunal Officer to support local authorities in managing Special Educational Needs cases fully remotely. This role requires leading tribunal case management and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes. Candidates should possess a degree, experience in tribunal settings, and a strong track record in case management. The position offers flexible remote working arrangements along with support from dedicated consultants.
Rate: £350–£450 per day
Location: Surrey

Pertemps is currently recruiting an experienced Tribunal Officer to support Surrey County Council within their SEND service.
You will lead and deliver the local authority service responsible for the identification, analysis, case management and review of children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who are at risk of, or currently involved in, appeals with the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal (SENDIST). The role includes representing Surrey County Council at tribunal hearings where required.
You will manage a complex and growing caseload of approximately 145–150 tribunal cases per year, with annual increases of around 5–7%, requiring strong organisation, legal understanding and collaborative working.
