A well-established inn in Oakham is looking for a motivated Sous Chef to join their team. The role involves managing kitchen service in the Head Chef's absence and working split shifts. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in environments utilizing fresh food and showcase ambition and teamwork. An exciting opportunity for a Sous Chef to join a team of 4 chefs at one of their inns located in Oakham. This long established inn with stable owners offers seasonal fresh menus that incorporate plenty of local produce into the dishes. This is a fast paced property with an excellent reputation not only for the restaurant but also for the menus and service provided in the bar. In this role of Sous Chef the expectation is that you will be capable of running service times in the absence of the Head Chef. In this position you will be working split shifts, there is no food service on a Sunday evening and you will get a further 2 days off during the week.
Requirements:
It is important that all Sous Chefs applying for this role have been working in a property using all fresh food in their most recent position. The ability to work well within a small team with the knowledge to work across the sections is essential and able to work under pressure is also essential. You must be able to show longevity on your CV. This role will suit a Sous Chef that has drive, flair and ambition to progress their career.
Due to the location of this property it is essential that all applicants have access to their own transport
