Blue Arrow is currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to join a well established, prestigious restaurant and wedding venue located in Maesteg.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £27,000-£33,000p.a

£27k salary to include Free accommodation / £33k without accommodation

Hours of work: Full time: 40 hours per week

Shifts: Week one #removed# Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday DAYS OFF

Week two: 15.00-finish Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday - Sunday, Monday - OFF

Role Summary:

Our client is a high-end gastro pub, serving great local produce to a high standard. This is an exciting opportunity if you have a passion for real food - no microwaves here! You will be delivering the very best standards of customer service and presentation for customers at all times, in all areas of the business. Ensuring all Food Hygiene regulations are adhered to and exceeded. As a sous chef you will play a vital role in the day to day running of the kitchen, supporting the head chef in managing all kitchen operations in a smooth and timely manner.

Role Responsibilities:

Recognise the importance of communication, actively participating in daily briefing meetings and monthly team meetings

Assisting in creating seasonal menus for both the restaurant and event catering.

Promote a positive, helpful service to customers & colleagues at all times.

Ensure all food prepared, cooked, and served is to the highest standard

Be a proactive role model for the team, and taking all head chef responsibilities when they are not in the business

Be responsible and accountable for your own health and safety and that of colleagues

With the Head Chef manage, stock and cost control management

Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management

Engage with local suppliers
