Im currently working with one of my standout clients : a well‑established, independent gastro pub in South East London , renowned for serving exceptional, seasonal food in a relaxed but high‑quality setting. This is a brilliant opportunity for a talented Sous Chef who wants to work with great produce, a supportive leadership team, and a kitchen that genuinely cares about standards.

The Role

As Sous Chef, youll play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to deliver consistently outstanding food.

Key responsibilities
  • Supporting the Head Chef in leading a busy, food‑led kitchen
  • Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Assisting with menu development using fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • Managing and mentoring junior chefs
  • Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation are always on point
Ideal Candidate

My client is looking for someone who :

  • Has experience as a Sous Chef (or a strong Junior Sous ready to step up) in a gastro pub or quality restaurant
  • Is passionate about fresh food and modern British cooking
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced but well‑structured kitchen
