As a Sous Chef at Sodexo in PrioryHospital Bristol,you’ll play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals that support patientwellbeing and enhance the overall dining experience.You’ll be responsible for managing your own sectionof the kitchen, ensuring every dish meets our high standards.If you’re passionate about food, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to be partof something greater. What you’ll do:
  • Manage all ordering in line with Sodexo policies and approved suppliers.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and equipment care.
  • Lead and train the team to deliver excellent service and meet all audit requirements.
  • Oversee rotas, labour budgets, KRONOS, and recruitment.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company policies.
  • Work with stakeholders and dietary specialists to improve patient and client satisfaction.
  • Support facilities coordination, maintenance, and visual audits.
  • Handle administrative tasks professionally, including emails and management requests.
What you bring:
  • Proven team leadership experience (healthcare desirable).
  • Strong financial skills, including cost control and catering margins.
  • Confident communicator with patients, visitors, colleagues, and clients.
  • Able to work independently, stay flexible, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Experience delivering training and good knowledge of H&S and employment legislation.
  • Strong attention to detail, good MS Office skills, and ability to solve problems effectively.
