Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post is Monday - Sunday, 5 days out of 7.

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.

NHSGGC Imaging team are currently inviting applications for 1.7 WTE General Medical Sonographers (part time positions can be discussed). This is an exciting opportunity for experienced, self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our dynamic team. Successful candidates will work closely and collaborate with clinical teams and local management and to deliver a high-quality patient focused service. Education and training are integral aspects of our department, and we are looking for individuals with outstanding interpersonal skills to help us deliver these effectively.

You will be involved in the development and implementation of clinical and professional standards, always with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care. The positions offer a great opportunity to enhance and expand your clinical expertise.

You will be expected to work collaboratively with Higher Education providers to support and foster an innovative learning environment for postgraduate ultrasound students whilst having a commitment to supporting and developing our own registrars. Successful candidates will benefit from a comprehensive training and induction programme.

Candidates must be able to attend a face-to-face clinical simulation and practical assessment as part of the interview process.
