A prominent healthcare provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a Sonographer to deliver clinical excellence and manage the ultrasound service. Job Summary: As a Sonographer you would be expected to provide clinical excellence and assist in managing the day-to-day organisation of the clinical area providing effective and efficient leadership. Applicants should be flexible, patient focussed, and committed to delivering the highest standards of clinical care.
The ultrasound service operates 5 days a week with potential to develop to a 6 or 7 day week. Opportunities to work evenings and weekends are available. We will consider full and part time hours with flexible/extended hours considered in relation to existing departmental commitments.
As an imaging service we are committed to providing opportunities to gain experience in specialist areas and professional development. The department hosts undergraduate radiography students on placement, so you will be expected to be actively involved in their training and supervision as part of your role, while supporting the wider team. All candidates must be enthusiastic about teaching and supporting learners in the clinical environment.
The successful candidate will be based at the Royal Gwent Hospital and may be required to work at other sites within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board as per service requirements.
