To provide a professionally competent Ultrasound service to patients throughout the University Health Board, in a safe clinical environment.
Provide a caring, confidential diagnostic service to all patients, ensuring their dignity and privacy are not compromised.
You will normally be required to work without direct clinical supervision but will report to the Superintendent Radiographers within the Department.
We have sonographer hours available within our busy & diverse UHB, we encourage continual professional development & education & actively promote & support role expansion alongside departmental requirements.
HCPC registered sonographer hours are available working in Prince Charles Hospital.
The vacancy is for a full or part-time sonographer and working days/hours can be discussed at interview.
This is an exciting opportunity for a varied rotational post working across trust ultrasound departments.
Minimum skill/experience required: general ultrasound including transvaginal imaging & obstetric ultrasound - DQASS registration to undertake combined screening is preferred but training and certification can be completed in-house for the successful candidate.
Candidates with experience in other areas of ultrasound imaging including musculo-skeletal, testes, groins, hernias, neonatal hip screening, early pregnancy and vascular procedures would be highly desirable & can expect these skills to be encouraged, continued & developed as required.
Successful candidates will also be considered for expansion of their roles to include the above sub-specialities dependent on service needs and changing departmental skill-mix requirements.
