A leading medical insourcing provider in the UK seeks experienced Non-Obstetric Ultrasound Sonographers to deliver patient-centered ultrasound services at JPUH. The role involves conducting various ultrasound examinations and producing accurate reports while ensuring patient safety and dignity. Base Location: James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (JPUH), Norfolk, East of England
Service Setting: NHS Trust Diagnostic Ultrasound Service (Non‑Obstetric)
Working Pattern: Friday to Monday, 09:00–18:00 (9‑hour session including 30‑minute break)
Pay: Weekly/fortnightly/monthly
Contract Type: Insourcing (long‑term) with potential extension

Frontline Insourcing is recruiting experienced Non‑Obstetric Ultrasound Sonographers to support a long‑term NHS insourcing service at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (JPUH).
The post‑holder will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred ultrasound examinations and reporting within a clinically governed Trust environment, supporting additional diagnostic capacity and contributing to improved patient access and reduced waiting times.
To deliver safe, effective and timely non‑obstetric ultrasound scanning to NHS patients.
To ensure accurate and clinically appropriate documentation and reporting using the Trust’s reporting system (CRIS).
To uphold Trust standards, clinical governance, and professional accountability at all times.
To contribute to the delivery of agreed activity volumes while maintaining quality, dignity and patient experience.
Apply appropriate professional judgement and clinical reasoning during examinations, escalating concerns appropriately.
Ensure patient safety, comfort, dignity and consent throughout the patient pathway.
Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and staff in a professional, compassionate manner.
Produce accurate, complete, and timely ultrasound reports on the CRIS reporting system.
Ensure all examinations are documented in accordance with local pathways, Trust policies, and national standards.
Maintain clear, contemporaneous clinical records and adhere to information governance requirements.
Work in accordance with HCPC Standards of Proficiency, local Trust policies, and departmental procedures.
Participate in local clinical governance processes, including incident reporting, duty of candour, and escalation processes.
Maintain a high standard of infection prevention and control and comply with relevant health and safety requirements.
