Scope

Akkodis is establishing a pioneering IT & Digital Centre of Excellence (CoE), designed to drive transformative technology programmes across the UK. This dynamic new team will play a key role in delivering large-scale digital, cloud, software, and infrastructure projects, supporting both public and private sector clients. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, strategic partnerships, and innovative SaaS-based solutions, the CoE will enhance digital capabilities, future-proof workforces, and enable data-driven decision-making.

Role

We’re looking for an experience Solutions Architect to design, develop, and oversee the implementation of scalable and robust technology solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to create solutions that meet strategic objectives and drive value. The solutions Architect will work closely with stakeholders, delivery teams, and customers to ensure that solutions are aligned with business needs, technical standard, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technology solutions that meet customer business requirements and align with enterprise architecture standards
• Develop architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and solution documentation for approval and implementation
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to ensure requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions
• Conduct technical reviews, design validation, and risk assessments for proposed solutions
• Provide guidance on technology selection, integration patterns, cloud architecture, and system scalability
• Ensure solutions comply with security, regulatory, and compliance standards
• Support pre-sales activities by providing technical input, solution demos, and proof-of-concept engagements
• Mentor and advise development and delivery teams on architecture best practices and design patterns
• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continually improve solution offerings

Required Experience

• Proven experience (7+ years) in IT, software development, or cloud architecture roles
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing complex solutions across multiple platforms or technologies (e.g. cloud, enterprise software, SaaS, integrations)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern architecture patterns
• Exposure to Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices
• Experience with architecture frameworks and methodologies including TOGAF
• Pre-sales or customer-facing experience including providing technical input for proposals, demos, or proof-of-concepts
• Experience with system integrations, APIs, microservices, and data architecture
• Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and governance standards in solution design
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, DevOps, QA, business analysts, and project managers

Required Skills

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field
