Overview

I am recruiting for an experienced Solutions Architect to join the IT Architecture team based in Sunderland. You will be required to work in the office for part of the week to be part of the client’s collaborative team culture and be flexible to attend the office for on-site meetings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver solutions that align with EA standards and advance the architecture towards the target state.
• Proactively and holistically lead and support EA activities to guide the development and management of a portfolio of solutions.
• Lead architecture activities across multiple IT solution development disciplines and environments.
• Develop architecture blueprints, strategies and roadmaps and create and drive technical solutions to delivery.
• Deliver presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences.
• Contribute to and support agile teams by providing advice on opportunities, impact and risks, considering technical and architectural debt.
• Maintain exposure to multiple diverse technologies, platforms and processing environments.
• Maintain a good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends and their practical application to business and operating models.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Extensive experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, application development, middleware/integrations, network management, database management or cloud development.
• Strong ability to articulate architecture concepts and solutions to both senior executives and technical audiences.
• Understanding of product/system management, agile principles and development methodologies with the capability to support agile teams by advising on opportunities, impact and risks, and by addressing technical and architectural debt.
