Job summary

A Global IT Services Provider is seeking a Solution Architect for an initial 6-month contract, working 3 days per week in London. The role includes designing technical solutions aligned with operational resilience regulations. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in a large enterprise bank, strong hybrid cloud skills, and knowledge of operational resilience frameworks. An attractive daily rate of £600 - £700 is offered, inside IR35.

Qualifications

• 6+ years as a Solution Architect in a large enterprise bank within the last 3 years.
• Strong experience with hybrid cloud environments and container platforms.
• Knowledge of operational resilience frameworks and the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).

Position: Solution Architect – 3 days a week in London

Overview

We're recruiting for a Global IT Services Provider seeking a Solution Architect to design end-to-end technical solutions aligned to operational resilience regulations and internal frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Create resilience-focused HLDs/LLDs aligned with enterprise architecture and cloud strategy
• Translate Operational Resilience and DORA requirements into actionable designs
• Act as a design authority for resilience initiatives, reviewing and approving technical designs
• Provide architectural input into programmes including technology modernisation, cloud migration and system decommissioning

Requirements / Qualifications

• 6+ years as a Solution Architect with proven experience working in a large enterprise bank within the past 3 years (essential)
• Strong experience with hybrid cloud (AWS/Azure + on-prem), data centres, ServiceNow CMDB, and container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of operational resilience frameworks, RTO/RPO, backup/DR, and dependency mapping
• Knowledge of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) is highly desirable
• TOGAF Certified
