Job description

Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our central government client, who is seeking a Solution Architect for an initial six-month assignment with the option to extend.

Location: Hybrid working - London

The ideal candidate will hold an active security clearance and have a strong background in Solution Architecture, along with a strong background in the following skills and experience:

  • Designing and delivering secure, scalable, and resilient architectures in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) environments.
  • Practical knowledge of Google Distributed Cloud (GDC).
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud solutions across major providers (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle)
  • A solid engineering background with a deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Deployment Manager, as well as automation and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expertise in networking, Identity and Access Management (IAM), containerisation (GKE/Kubernetes), and secure systems design.
  • Experience in configuring and utilising AI technologies within cloud environments, particularly GCP AI technologies.
  • Knowledge of multi-cloud integrations, edge computing, and data sovereignty requirements.
  • Deep technical expertise in various areas, including Cloud, M365, Azure, AWS, Networks, Telephony, or Digital systems.
  • Familiarity with NCSC guidance, UK Government cloud policies, and cross-domain architectures.
