Job description
The Company:

MTrec are currently recruiting for a renowned and respected company based in the Hartlepool area. MTrec are currently looking for proactive individuals who are looking for a long-term position. MTrec are currently looking for people to start within the next 7 working days, please do not apply if you are unable to start work within that period.

The Role:
  • Carry out precise hand soldering of electronic components onto flexible circuit boards.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions and work orders.
  • Inspect work during and after soldering to ensure high-quality standards and compliance with IPC or company requirements.
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment such as soldering irons, microscopes, tweezers and rework stations.
  • Perform rework and repair on assemblies when required, ensuring minimal waste and high reliability.
  • Maintain accurate production records and follow company quality procedures.
  • Ensure the work area is kept clean, tidy and compliant with health, safety and ESD (electrostatic discharge) control standards.
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors and engineers to meet production targets and delivery schedules.
The Person:
  • Previous experience in hand soldering or electronic assembly (ideally within PCB or electronics manufacturing).
  • Ability to work under a microscope and handle small components with precision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Understanding of IPC-A-610 standards or similar would be advantageous.
  • Good manual dexterity, steady hand-eye coordination and ability to focus on fine detail.
  • Positive attitude, good communication skills, and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
