Job description

A Fullstack Python Engineer for a MedTech company working with a lot of AI and modern projects. Up to £80K + benefits, hybrid in Manchester.

We are working with award‑winning MedTech Cloud AI company, founded by a team of leading clinicians and artificial intelligence experts. Their mission is to develop the next generation of cloud AI‑enabled applications for healthcare. They believe that cloud and AI technologies will usher in a new era of healthcare by empowering doctors to deliver higher‑quality care, improving patient outcomes, enhancing patient experiences, and creating value for healthcare providers.

The Role

As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing tools aimed at improving and aiding doctors and medical professionals. This includes creating user interfaces for clinical software, developing internal tools for video handling, and implementing cloud backend systems. You will collaborate closely with researchers, engineers, clinical experts, and end users as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You should be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, have strong communication skills, and be familiar with modern software development methodologies. A passion for technology, healthcare, and making a positive impact on people’s lives is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Develop software while supporting architecture design, testing, validation, and verification.
  • Address deployment challenges for real‑time software solutions.
  • Assist in project planning.
  • Report on project progression.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a lean/agile development environment.
Requirements
  • Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands‑on experience with Python + Django.
  • Experience with additional languages/frameworks such as HTML, CSS, React, C++, SQL is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), Docker, and Kubernetes is beneficial.
  • Experience working in regulated fields like healthcare is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of machine learning, computer vision, or medical imaging toolkits/libraries is desirable.
