Job Title: Chef / Cook & Team Supervisor

Location: Soft Play Centre – Near Wymondham

Hours: 4 days per week (including weekends on a rota)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We’re a vibrant and family-friendly Soft Play Centre near Wymondham, dedicated to delivering a fun, safe, and memorable experience for children and their grown-ups. Our café serves fresh, tasty food and barista-style drinks throughout the day, providing welcome fuel for playtime!

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and confident Chef/Cook & Team Supervisor to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a lively environment, preparing simple but delicious dishes, and leading a small team to deliver excellent customer service.

You will be responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen as well as supporting the General Manager with day-to-day centre operations. While confidence in the kitchen is essential, full training will be provided on our menu, safety procedures, and supervisory duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality food to order, ensuring excellent presentation and consistency
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised kitchen environment
• Monitor stock levels, receive deliveries, and minimise food waste
• Supervise and support team members across the kitchen and front‑of‑house areas
• Help manage daily operations including customer service, cleanliness, and safety standards
• Ensure all food hygiene and health & safety procedures are followed
• Act as a positive role‑model, helping to motivate the team and create a welcoming atmosphere for families
• Assist with opening or closing procedures as required
