Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for an Experienced Social Worker within the Mental Health Team to work full-time based in Parkside, Worcestershire.
The salary for this permanent Experienced Social Worker job is up to £39,186 per annum.
Responsibilities:
- Work with adults, using a strength-based approach, who have complex or fluctuating needs and require intensive support to reduce and manage those risks.
- Work in partnership and engage other professionals to ensure there is a multi-agency approach which enables the adult and/or their carer to live as independently as possible.
- The Social Worker may be expected, on occasions, to represent the Authority in court and also may be required to attend as a witness or give evidence.
- Represent the service, adults and carers’ views at a range of meetings and exchange information, make decisions and review progress.
- Build excellent and effective relationships with other agencies and the local community to signpost when appropriate.
- Gather and analyse from a variety of sources that will provide an informed judgement for the decisions you make.
- Identify any potential deprivation of liberty and ensure the least restrictive means of care provision prior to instigating legal proceedings.
- Undertake duty responsibilities in line with the requirements of the team.
- Maintain accurate records in-line with the Adult Services’ Recording Policy.
- Prepare and participate in reflective practice and supervision.
- Meet the continuing professional development requirements of the professional regulator and keep abreast of legislative changes.
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training.
- Undertake other such duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job.
- Through meaningful conversations, you will carry out and review assessments and support plan for adults and their carers to build a good life within their community.
Requirements:
- A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Registered or eligible for registration.
- This post requires registration with the relevant health professional council/governing body (Social Care England).
