What you will do
  • Form, develop, and maintain professional relationships with children, young people, and families through direct casework, supervision, shared activities, and counselling to meet their needs.
  • Provide support that addresses primary needs, promotes development, and assists with behavioural challenges and vulnerabilities.
  • Identify and assess risks of abuse and report concerns to senior managers when necessary.
  • Lead and contribute to best practice development, taking a special area of responsibility.
  • Promote inclusion and challenge discrimination, advocating for service users and their carers.
  • Maximise available resources to ensure value for money care packages.
  • Case manage child protection work and provide evidence in court when required.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and professionals, representing the team and service users as needed.
