Social Worker – Adults Learning Disability Partnership East (Part‑Time)

We have an exciting vacancy in the Learning Disability Partnership Team for a part‑time Social Worker. The role is based at Princess of Wales Hospital in Ely and offers a hybrid model of practice (office up to three days a week with home working).

Job responsibilities

You will undertake Social Care and Mental Capacity Act assessments, complete Safeguarding and care and support planning, and prepare Community deprivation of liberty applications to the Court of Protection. You will also work in partnership with adults, their informal carers, and a multidisciplinary team of health and social care professionals.

About the team

The Cambridgeshire Learning Disability Partnership (LDP) brings together specialist health and social care services for people with a learning disability. The LDP is now working to a hybrid model with office‑based work up to three days a week.

What will you be doing?

As part of a multi‑disciplinary team, you will carry out:

  • Social Care and Mental Capacity Act assessments
  • Safeguarding and care and support planning
  • Community deprivation of liberty applications to the Court of Protection
  • Strength‑based, evidence‑based practice with adults and their carers
About you

We are looking for experienced Social Workers who are:

  • Qualified and registered with Social Work England
  • Able to work from a variety of locations and travel county‑wide independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Independent and a strong team player with organisational skill
