This role is with Adopt South, the partnership Regional Adoption Agency for Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, and Southampton local authorities, with the lead authority Hampshire County Council as the employer.
Adopt South’s Adoption Support for Adults service offers support to adult adoptees and birth relatives who request access to adoption records and intermediary services.
To improve the service our adopted adults and birth families receive, you will be determined to introduce new and innovative practices.
The role covers the whole of the Adopt South region (Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, and Southampton local authorities), and will include some face-to-face visits with adoptees and birth relatives. You will be flexible in your working and may be required to work evenings and weekends.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Social Worker, who can apply professional knowledge to transform outcomes for individuals, relatives and carers whilst facilitating effective multi-agency solutions. With your Social Work experience, you’ll have excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to all different kinds of people, plus the motivation to grow in your role through personal and professional development.
