A social support organization seeks a Social Support Assistant in Crawley to provide companionship and support for individuals with social and learning difficulties. The role involves engaging in woodcraft activities and promoting the individual’s interests. Candidates should be reliable, patient, and possess good interpersonal skills. A driving licence is preferred but not essential, and applicants must have the right to work in the UK. The role may be employed or self-employed based on suitability and agreement with the employer.

Employment status: employed
Hours per week: Mondays and Fridays 10am - 3:30pm.
Hourly pay rate: £12.21 but is negotiable
My son is 36 years old and has Social and Learning difficulties.
He is a very placid man and has a love for Woodcraft. The job entails planning what he will make at his woodwork sessions so if you have experience in Carpentry or just a love of Woodcraft that would be great. There are other members of the team at the Men's shed who can also support with woodworking.
The role will include making suggestions and supporting him with the things he wants to make. The location will be in Men’s Sheds. He also enjoys playing pool so it would be lovely for you to engage in that together.
A driver with access to a vehicle and full UK driving licence would be preferable but not essential
