Job description
Our Team: How we enrich everyday life

You’ll be joining Bauer Media’s Social Video team — a creative, collaborative and highly ambitious group focused on growing Bauer’s audio and entertainment brands through platform-native storytelling. Working closely with the Podcasts team, you’ll help bring Bauer’s growing podcast slate to life across social platforms.

The Difference You Will Make

As Social Media Lead for Podcasts, you’ll be setting the social vision and defining how Bauer’s podcasts show up online. You’ll help transform our titles into culturally relevant brands built to scale.

This is a mid-weight 360 role with real scope and influence. You’ll set the social vision across multiple podcast titles, oversee day-to-day output of a team of Social Producers, and work closely with podcast Executive Producers, Content Producers, talent and commercial teams to drive reach, relevance and long-term brand growth.

This is not a hands-on editing role, but it does require deep editing literacy. You need to understand what makes a great clip, how platform-native video works, and how to push teams creatively and commercially.

Your Role

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Owning the social vision and strategy for Bauer’s podcast slate. A small part of this role will also be overseeing the social strategy for our Rayo app.
  • Partnering closely with podcast Executive Producers and Content Producers.
  • Defining formats, tone, platform priorities and growth plans.
  • Building podcasts as brands, not just channels.
  • Leading and managing Social Media Producers. You’ll oversee the team responsible for channels, community management, and editing and publishing podcast clips, setting clear priorities, giving high-quality creative feedback, and raising standards across output.
  • Acting as editorial and quality gatekeeper.
  • Building agile workflows for trend-led and reactive content.
  • Using data insights to refine strategy.
  • Championing AI tools.
The Skills You Will Bring
  • You will be a social media specialist with media, entertainment or podcast experience.
  • Deep understanding of editing and platform nuance.
  • Proven track record across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Experience leading or mentoring juniors
  • Creative, reactive and highly organised.
  • Strong collaborator with talent and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of podcast formats and audience behaviour.
  • Familiarity with short-form workflows and AI.
