Job description
About Fawkes & Reece

We are proud to be the market leader within the construction and built environment recruitment sector, and we’ll be celebrating our 25th anniversary next year – making this a hugely exciting time to join the business.

Over the past two decades, we’ve grown to become a trusted partner to some of the UK’s leading construction companies, building a strong reputation for quality, delivery, and expertise. This growth will see us achieve a £100m turnover in our 25th year.

Our business has evolved significantly, and we are now looking for a strategic, creative, and commercially minded Marketing & social media candidate to help shape the next phase of our brand journey.

The Role

As our Social Media Coordinator, you’ll take full ownership of our digital strategy, content creation, and brand growth across all platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves storytelling, understands recruitment or construction audiences, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll work closely with our CEO, Directors, and senior leadership team to bring the brand vision to life across multiple channels, ensuring that our marketing activity delivers measurable impact, consistency, and value.

A key part of this role will be to champion Fawkes & Reece’s public profile through bold, proactive PR and communications. You’ll craft and share engaging stories about the business, its people, and company/industry wine, while promoting opportunities for press coverage, awards, and events that amplify our reputation. This is a hands‑on role where your creativity, energy, and initiative will directly shape how the business is seen across all external channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a social media strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook & X
  • Create engaging content (graphics, videos, captions, reels, testimonials, job ads)
  • Manage social media calendars and daily posting
  • Grow audience engagement and brand awareness
  • Run targeted paid social campaigns
  • Track performance, analyse data, and produce monthly reports
  • Support wider marketing initiatives (email marketing, events, campaigns, brochures)
  • Ensure brand consistency across all channels
  • Work closely with recruitment consultants to spotlight jobs, client wins, and candidate success stories
What We’re Looking For
  • 1+ years’ experience in social media or digital marketing (ideally within recruitment, construction, or B2B sectors)
  • Strong content creation skills — especially video and short-form content
  • Confident using Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar tools
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • A creative thinker with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and bring fresh ideas
  • Experience running paid ads is a bonus
Company Benefits
  • Competitive salary and performance-related bonus
  • 25 days annual leave (increasing with service) + Buy/Sell Holiday Scheme
  • Private health care
  • Pension scheme
  • Wellbeing and lifestyle benefits
  • Regular company events and celebrations
