Job description
What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual to join the team at Malet Lambert School as a Social Media Administrator. You will be responsible and accountable for delivering a high‑quality social media presence for the school, providing effective and efficient engagement and communication.

The working hours are up to 20 hours per week over 5 days (Monday to Friday). You will also be paid for an additional 40 hours per year, which enables you to attend school events, meetings, training and development that sits outside your normal working hours. Your actual salary will be £12,377.19 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month. What are we looking for?
  • Demonstrable experience of managing social media, using photography and video editing skills
  • A good standard of education including English (Level 2 or equivalent standard)
  • Excellent ICT skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Applications i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and the ability to use design software to create visual content (e.g. Adobe Products)
  • Demonstrable effective communication skills (both orally and in writing), with an understanding of how to tailor content for different audiences
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with analytics tools to measure social media impact
  • Understanding of current trends in social media and culture
  • Understanding of digital marketing principals relevant to schools
