Social Care Worker - Personal Assistant

We are looking for a Social Care Worker Personal Assistant to support a sociable, 17‑year‑old young man with Down’s syndrome living in the Milngavie area.

He is excited to find someone who can relate to him as a peer and share his interests in sport (particularly football and golf), gaming and music, and brings a good sense of humour.

This role involves social support and enabling him to engage in his local community.

• Typical shift activities: golfing at a local course, gym, trampolining, swimming, playing pool, or visits to the cinema.

We are looking for an individual who is patient, upbeat, active, and positive and who can enthusiastically engage in the sporting activities he enjoys.

• Male preferred.
• Driver preferred but not essential.

Rate of pay: £14 per hour (paid 4 weekly)

Hours: 6 hours per week, split between 2 shifts on weekday evenings and weekend – specific days/times can be discussed at interview.

PVG Scheme membership or update required by successful applicant – costs will be covered by employer.
