A local care provider in Milngavie is seeking a Social Care Worker - Personal Assistant to support a young adult male with his daily activities. The role includes medication assistance, personal care, meal preparation, and escorting him to social events. Applicants should be enthusiastic, reliable, and preferably have experience with complex health issues such as epilepsy. This position offers 14 flexible hours per week at a wage of £15.50 per hour.
Personal Assistant needed for a young adult male in the Milngavie area. The young man is a warm and friendly person who enjoys social and leisure activities.
A typical day will include assisting with medications, personal care, getting ready for the day, preparing breakfast and lunch, then escorting him to activities such as his music club or other social/leisure activities. He enjoys outdoor and physical activities tailored to wheelchair users, such as adaptive cycling and ice skating.
The ideal match is someone enthusiastic, reliable, committed and driven to help him achieve his daily goals. Physical fitness, adaptability, and teamwork are essential. Previous experience is very helpful, especially with complex health issues like epilepsy. A driving licence is preferred.
Candidate requires a PVG and must be able to travel to and from Milngavie reliably.
This role involves 14 hours per week, with flexibility. Two 7 hour shifts per week, Mon and Tues, 9am-4pm. Wage £15.50.
