A bit about me:
I am a 16 year old male, I live with my mum in Chippenham and attend a local special school. I enjoy having my own space and absolutely love anything to do with Formula 1, playing on my PlayStation and my phone. I also enjoy going swimming and going to the cinema. Although I can find verbalising my wishes and needs challenging. I am amazing at spelling so I can write on my Kindle to help people understand me.

About the role:
Although I am able-bodied, I do need help with some personal care including dressing. For this reason, it is requested that the applicant be male due to the role involving personal, intimate care. For this reason, it is exempt under the general occupational requirement section of the Equality Act 2010. However, I like to be given options so that I feel that I have chosen for myself. I would like someone who can prepare simple meals and then enjoy sitting down to eat with me as I need to be regularly reminded to eat and drink. Whilst in the house I would like a friendly face to enjoy my activities with although I may take some time to get to know you and build up a trusting relationship. Someone who has a similar interest to me in fast cars would be great! When out and about in the community I need someone who can keep me safe as I have little safety/danger awareness, and I can become anxious in unfamiliar situations.

The kind of person I am looking for:
Friendly and approachable, responsible, reliable and trustworthy. Good communication and social skills and to be prepared to take the time to get to know me properly. To respect confidentiality and privacy and be sensitive to my needs. Be able to accept responsibility and be willing to learn and have the ability to work on your own initiative.
