Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking Skilled Mechanical Fitters to join an industry-leading manufacturer of advanced packaging machinery in Bristol. The role involves assembling and fitting precision machinery from engineering drawings, ensuring high quality and safety standards. Candidates should have experience in mechanical fitting or machine build and the ability to work with engineering drawings. This full-time position offers a pay rate of £18-£20 per hour depending on experience and requires commitment from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00.

✅ Key Responsibilities :

• Assemble and fit bespoke packaging machinery
• Work from mechanical engineering drawings
• Perform precision fitting, alignment, and testing
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve build issues
• Maintain quality and health & safety standards
• Measurement and allignment techniques
• Workshop mechanical assembly
• Build, test and commissioning of packaging machinery
• Building sub-assemblies
• Pneumatic installation
• Set up and running of customer products prior to on-site commissioning

🔍 What We’re Looking For :

• Mechanical fitting or machine build experience (special-purpose equipment preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Relevant mechanical qualifications or apprenticeship (preferred)

Mon‑Fri 08 : 00‑16 : 00
