Reporting directly to the Boiler House Manager, you’ll play a vital role in the maintenance, operation, and continuous improvement of mechanical and building services systems. It’s a hands‑on position where no two days are the same — from boiler house duties to HVAC and fire system maintenance.

  • Day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of the boiler house
  • Servicing and repairing fire suppression systems
  • Maintaining HVAC and steam systems
  • Supporting compressed air system upkeep
  • Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Carrying out installations, remedial works, and urgent reactive repairs
  • Participating in the boiler house call‑out rota
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations

🎓 What you’ll bring: Site Utilities Engineer

  • C&G NVQ Level 2 engineering‑based qualification
  • At least 3 years’ experience in an industrial or commercial environment
  • Experience working with HVAC systems
  • Knowledge of fire suppression systems
  • BOAS Cert IBO
  • IPAF and PASMA
  • Boiler house operation
  • Experience using a CAFM/CMMS system
  • Work in a highly skilled engineering environment
  • Develop specialist knowledge (with funded BOAS training if needed)
  • Be part of a supportive and experienced facilities team
  • Contribute directly to the safe and efficient running of a major manufacturing site
