Overview

Vida Education are currently assisting a local primary school on the Fylde Coast who are looking for a site supervisor. Starting ASAP on an ongoing basis, the role is 5 days a week – Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that buildings and the site are secure, including during out of school hours, and take remedial action if required;
  • Act as the designated key holder for the school premises;
  • Operate and regularly check systems such as heating, cooling, lighting and security (including CCTV and alarms);
  • Undertake minor repairs (i.e. not requiring a qualified craftsman) and maintenance of the buildings and site;
  • Arrange emergency repairs;
  • Arrange regular maintenance and safety checks;
  • Oversee onsite maintenance contractors, ensuring work is completed to required standards and within required timescales;
  • Cleaning duties as required;
  • Monitor consumables and stock and order supplies;
  • Undertake general portage duties, including moving furniture and equipment within the school;
  • Perform duties in line with health and safety and COSHH regulations and take action where hazards are identified, reporting serious hazards to the line manager immediately;
  • Undertake regular health and safety checks of buildings, grounds, fixtures and fittings, and equipment, in line with other schedules (including compliance with fire safety regulations);
  • Adhere to the safeguarding policy.
You will need
  • Have UK Right To Work Status
  • Have recent work experience in a school environment or similar setting.
  • Complete a registration with Vida Education which includes holding a current Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service, or be prepared to apply for a new ENHANCED DBS with Vida Education (cost applied)
