Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS Managers card, and a full UK driving license. This position involves travel UK-wide and managing subcontractors while maintaining high safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and CDM requirements.
  • Produce method statements, erection sequences, crane lift plans, and risk assessments.
  • Conduct pre-site inspections and manage safe handovers.
  • Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, designers, and project teams.
  • Support planning, budgeting, and reporting for assigned projects.
  • Manage subcontractors, plant, and equipment to ensure safety, quality, and performance.
  • Maintain site documentation, including daily reports, handover certificates, NCRs, and toolbox talks.
  • Lead the site team, maintaining high safety standards, morale, and workmanship.

Skills

Experience in structural steel and metal cladding/decking
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Knowledge of AUTOCAD, Strumis, or Tekla

Overview

Site Manager - Structural Steel – England – £55,000 - £60,000

We are looking for a Site Manager to oversee the delivery of various construction projects across the UK. You will report to the Construction Manager and work closely with the project team to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget completion. The role involves travel UK-wide and regular periods away from home.
