A well-resourced school in Stevenage seeks an experienced individual for a full-time role, requiring flexibility and initiative across two buildings. The ideal candidate will prioritize a diverse range of duties and supervise external contractors. Benefits include a supportive community, long-term professional development, and a well-equipped workspace. Join a dedicated team committed to excellence, contributing to a purpose-driven environment for children and staff alike.
The role is incredibly varied and includes a wide range of duties and tasks. The person will need to be flexible and willing to prioritise their duties and tasks across two buildings, both on the same school site. The post is full-time 52 weeks a year with 25 days paid holiday which must be taken outside of school term dates, unless there are exceptional circumstances. The post will operate on a split shift, morning times to be negotiated but will consist of a short morning shift and longer afternoon shift (7½ hours per day (Monday to Friday). This post is suitable for an experienced person who is possibly already in a similar role or someone who, after reading the job description, feels they have the skills and experience to be able to carry out the duties required. Any training will be given if required. The school has external cleaning contractors who clean most the school as well as a grounds company who maintain the grass and external grounds areas. These areas of works will be supervised by the Site Manager. If you take pride in your work and can use your initiative on a daily basis we would love to hear from you. Confirmed as a 'good' school by Ofsted in November 2023 and underpinned by a strong Catholic ethos, we are ambitious and are ready to join with you on a journey that will enable all in our community to be 'the best that we can be.' Working in a two-form entry school, overlooking Fairlands Valley Lakes, you would be just thirty minutes away from central London by train and situated just minutes from Junction 7 of the A1(M), making the school journey manageable.
