A conservation organization in Newtownbutler seeks a Duty Manager to oversee on-site operations. Responsibilities include managing staff, ensuring visitor engagement, and compliance with safety regulations. Reporting to the Visitor Operations & Experience Manager, you’ll be part of the Fermanagh Visitor Experience team working at Crom in the Fermanagh Portfolio. You'll be based at Crom in the Visitor Centre. Crom is located on the shoreline of Upper Lough Erne outside Newtownbutler. The tranquil 2,000 acres estate is made up of tranquil islands and ancient woodlands. One of Ireland’s most important conservation areas, the landscape of Crom is home to a wealth of wildlife including beautiful butterflies, wild deer and the elusive pine marten.

Day to day, you’ll be responsible for planning and running the on‑site operations here. You’ll work closely with the Visitor Operations & Experience Manager and others in the operations team. You’ll be managing the Welcome & Services Assistants.
You will be a Duty Manager working alongside the Welcome team as the public face of our properties, you’ll work as part of a friendly team providing a warm welcome to visitors, giving information about the property, answering questions and making sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.
You’ll be responsible for managing contractors working with the Facilities Manager, as their chief contact on site, and for compliance, organising access and making sure our work systems are always safe.
