Job description

Job Title: Site Manager | Location: Nottingham

Thorn Baker's award‑winning client is looking for a Site Manager for a brand‑new traditional build housing development kicking off in January. The project consists of 65 bespoke homes. This is a great opportunity to work with a growing housing developer with exciting new projects commencing in the East Midlands.

• Progression to Senior Site Manager within 12 months and Contracts Manager within 3 years due to expansion of the region.

Your Responsibilities:

• Oversee management of overall project delivery from inception to practical completion.
• Liaise with both internal staff and external sub‑contractors to ensure a smooth process.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all staff and visitors.
• Identify and rectify concerns with processes, methods, or data and contribute to the development of company‑wide solutions, bearing the customer needs in mind.
• Proactively check all facilities during works for damage and ensure any issues are corrected immediately.

Required Skills:

• SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid
• NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management or equivalent qualification
• Proven track record of successfully managing the workload across traditional build housing programmes
• In‑depth knowledge and experience of house building and NHBC
• Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Full UK Driving License
