Site Manager - SHDF Net Zero Retrofit Projects

Location: CB6 & wider Cambridgeshire area
Salary: Up to £60,000 + package
Project Value: £4m+ (initial), increasing to £8m+ in 26/27
Scope of Works: SHDF - EWI, PV or ASHP installation to occupied properties.

Role

We are looking for a Site Manager to work with a Leading Property Services company. Together we are seeking an experienced and highly driven Site Manager to lead the on-site delivery of a high-profile Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) programme in Cambridgeshire, focused on external wall insulation (EWI), photovoltaic (PV) systems, and air source heat pump (ASHP) installations to occupied homes.

This is a flagship £4m project in the CB6 postcode area, forming the first phase of a larger retrofit programme forecast to grow to over £8m in 2026/27.

Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day site management of SHDF retrofit works to live, occupied properties
  • Ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery of EWI, PV and ASHP installations
  • Manage subcontractors, trades, and logistics on-site
  • Liaise with residents, client representatives, and internal teams to maintain smooth delivery
  • Monitor progress, manage HSEQ compliance, and ensure works are completed on time and to budget
  • Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions, and enforce health and safety procedures
  • Report into the Project or Contracts Manager with regular updates and KPIs
What We're Looking For

  • Experience delivering works to occupied homes with a focus on tenant engagement
  • SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
