Job summary

A leading construction recruitment agency is seeking a Site Manager for a new build residential role based in Berkshire. You will oversee daily operations on site, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and project delivery. The ideal candidate has proven experience in managing high-volume residential developments, holds relevant certifications (SMSTS, CSCS), and demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills. Competitive pay is offered within the range of £200 - £250 per day.

Job description
  • Job Title: Site Manager - New Build Residential
  • Location: Reading / Bracknell, Berkshire (Site-based)
  • Pay: £200.00 - £250.00 per day

About the Role

You will take the responsibility of a medium to large-scale development in the area, ensuring exceptional standards of quality, safety, and project delivery, on high-quality new build homes and communities across Berkshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all daily site operations, coordinating sub-contractors, trades, and site personnel.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) legislation, company policies, and quality control procedures.
  • Manage the project build programme, monitoring progress against the timeline and budget, and proactively addressing any issues.
  • Conduct regular site inductions, tool-box talks, and safety inspections.
  • Maintain accurate site records, documentation, and progress reports for the Project Manager/Contracts Manager.
  • Liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on high-volume residential new build housing or apartment schemes in the UK.
  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid at Work certification.
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, quality assurance processes, and construction methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
