A leading NHS trust is seeking a Sonographer to join their Imaging team. The role involves performing ultrasound procedures, ensuring high standards of patient care and communication within a multi-disciplinary team. Candidates should possess strong skills in ultrasound imaging and patient management, along with effective communication abilities. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment committed to delivering compassionate care.
The post-holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in Imaging, liaising with those involved to ensure appropriate imaging, reporting and management of the patient is provided when and where necessary. They will maintain a high professional and technical standard of ultrasound imaging and undertake clinical work within established quality standards of practice, adhering to Ultrasound Guidelines such as those published by BMUS, RCOG, RCR and NICE.
The Sonographer will deliver all ultrasound imaging, reporting and patient management within the department protocols and, in the absence of a Site Lead Sonographer, oversee the day‑to‑day workload to ensure staff and resources are allocated effectively.
